Touted as the “cheapest Michelin meal in the world”, Chef/owner Chan Hon Meng has made his Chinatown food stall one of the most popular restaurants in Singapore. The Michelin-star rating is well-earned and well-deserved as the droves of customers will attest. While this is not our usual Michelin-star recommendation, once you’re there, you’ll understand why we were compelled to include it.
Cherry Discotheque
While most visitors head to Clarke Quay for some karaoke nightlife, you’re better off visiting the club that locals frequent as well as those in the know, Cherry Discotheque. The club is described as “FUN FUN FUN” and the “best kept secret”, what more could you want? A sexy, mysterious club with the promise of a great time. You should start with the architectural wonder, ION Orchard as you enter the end of Orchard Road, then work your way through some familiar and not-so-familiar shops full of the latest fashion, accessories, and souvenirs. You’ll encounter shop after shop after shop and be able to go as long as your feet will carry you!
