The Waldorf Astoria – Beverly Hills’ New Hot Spot

There’s a new, super hot “It Girl” in town. Her name? The Waldorf Astoria, Beverly Hills!
I’ve been so often in the last 2 months, visiting many of my out-of-state friends staying there, that management must think I’m part of the staff. All my friends had been loyal patrons of neighboring five star hotels that they felt had grown a little long in the tooth, and were excited to check out the new kid in town.

The Waldorf, B.H, with its 170 rooms and suites with huge balconies, fantastic views, and a gorgeous mix of refined French Art Deco and lux California chic design, lives up to its hype.

You know me, I’m a sucker for over the top service, and I love when a hotel makes my stay just that more luxurious. The Waldorf does just that from the minute you arrive by providing in-room check in service and a choice of complimentary chauffeured house cars (Rolls Royce or Mercedes Maybach) to drive you to nearby restaurants or world class shopping on and around Rodeo Drive. Soak up the sun and the view at their rooftop pool or enjoy their full service La Prairie Spa.

The delish French/American restaurant by famed chef Jean George Vongerichten, also offers South American and European Classics with organic and locally sourced ingredients for a fantastic farm to fork experience.

The main cocktail bar offers selections of champagne and caviar, while the lobby lounge is the perfect place for a quick bite and craft cocktails.

But their true calling card and piece de resistance is the 12th floor, super hotspot, Rooftop by JG. Stepping out of the elevator you are met with a truly WOW moment! The 360° views from sea to Hollywood Sign are stunning!!! Seriously, no one else’s LA rooftop view compares, and it’s not to be missed even if you’re not staying here. Plan well in advance, they are booked up at least two weeks out. And yes, they’ve had a bit of bad press about uneven food and service up there on the roof, but I think people forget that it’s a pool restaurant/bar/lounge with a limited menu, and its new and they’re still tweaking things while getting up to speed. And even still, it’s a must see! There isn’t a bad seat in the place, everything has a spectacular view, but try for a seat near the glass for the best spot. You can’t go wrong with the tuna tartare, lobster burger and cocktails – really delicious!
